LINDA CROXSON

A lifetime of effort is involved in dealing with the act of painting and why one does it. After many years of study and continuous work, I have reached a point where I accept my ideas about painting and the work that results.

Why do this? Painting is the way that I attempt to come to grips with the world.
That’s what it means for me.

And for others?
That will vary. For some the painting may be maddeningly inexplicable.
For some it may present an intriguing puzzle.
And for still others, it may present itself as something they enjoy looking at…something that brings a sense of calm and of enduring contentment.
